It's Ruby Tuesday - and it's Mardi Gras too! My favorite city - New Orleans - is celebrating Fat Tuesday. I sure wish we were there. This picture was taken during our trip to NOLA last October. I thought it was the perfect photo for THIS particular Ruby Tuesday! Laissez les bons temp roller! (That means, let the good times roll!)To see others participating in Ruby Tuesday, click here. Hi M.Family [Cindy I'm thinking, it could be J.J.?] -- We like New Orleans, but I'd take San Antonio over N.O. any day.
This year our Galveston celebrated with Mardi Gras parades, they have been doing it for quite a while now. The route had to be rerouted because Hurricane Ike damaged the usual route too much and is not repaired yet. It was free as well for this year.

I have a friend looking for a song that they played at her Junior prom in 1953. All she can remember is, it was about the Mardi Gras. I told her it would be helpful if she knew some of the words and also who sang it back then.

I'v never been to Mardi Gras, but have been to NO when it was summertime. Not wise on our part.
