Cherry Blossom Time

First of all - this is our 100th post! I can't believe it! Now, on to our topic for the day.

Words cannot describe the beauty of Salem in the springtime. Sunday was an absolutely GORGEOUS day and we enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air at the Capitol Mall - amongst all the fragrant and colorful cherry blossoms.

Beautiful the way everything is blooming and flowering out.

We don't have anything blooming like that yet. This past Sunday our youngest daughter took her daughter to Newport Ky to the Newport Aquarium. We're probably about 60 miles north of Cincinnati, and Newport is just across the bridge more or less from Cincinnati. She said she couldn't get over how much was blooming down there. So around 75 miles south of us does make a big difference.

Today the sun is out, temp says 52, but house is chilly and that wind is very chilly outside. Also you have to remember, us old folks do seem to get colderr faster than we use to.
